Audiology and Hearing Aid Services

Health Comes First

Hearing Health

Knowing how hearing works and when to visit an audiologist versus an ENT is important. If you have pain in your ears, sudden change in balance, drainage, or have rapid hearing loss please visit an ENT instead of an audiologist. Keeping up with hearing health is important which is why Marston Hearing Center, LLC provides free 2-year hearing checks after the initial examination.

Audiologic Diagnostic Testing

After the age of 55, our hearing begins to decline but by having regular hearing tests we can attempt to slow down this process. We recommend to get a hearing examination every 2 years after the age of 55. The test type that we would use depends on the age and known hearing status. We perform pure-tone air and bone conduction testing, tympanometry testing, speech testing, auditory brain stem response test, auditory steady-state response test, otoacoustic emissions screening, and visual reinforcement and conditioned play audiometry for children.

Hearing Aid Dispensing, Fitting, and Repairs

If after an evaluation you come to the conclusion that you would like to get hearing aids, we have a large variety to choose from. Our audiologist will personally go over the best type of hearing aids for your hearing loss as well as what he believes would be best for your situation. If you currently own hearing aids, we also provide the service of repairing your hearing aids for you. You can drop them off at the office and we can take a look and call you back when they are working again. To learn more about the types of hearing aids we provide clink the button below

Batteries, Filters, Domes, and More Sales

We always keep a fresh supply of batteries, filters, and domes in our office that we can guarantee will last. Batteries are generally the first thing to check when a hearing aid stops working. If the batteries are working correctly then it will make a high pitch noise in your hand when you cup it. If you changed the batteries and it is still not making the noise then try changing the filter in your hearing aid. We have videos on our site to help if you need a tutorial but if you feel uncomfortable then you can always come in and ask us! We have batteries, domes, and filters for any hearing aid.

Industrial Hearing Screenings

Workers in certain occupations are required to receive regular hearing tests due to the risk of hearing loss that can be caused by excessive noise in their workplace. These hearing screenings can be completed in less than 30 minutes, and comply with the standards set by OSHA here at Marston Hearing Center

Musician Plugs and Ear Impressions

Ear Exam

Since the various systems produce different hearing impressions, it is important for you to make a comparison yourself. For this purpose we will produce custom-made ear molds based on the exact contours of your ears and job that they need to do. We can then ensure that your hearing aids and earplugs fit your ears perfectly. This way your hearing aids or earplugs are fit for your ears and for the circumstances you need them for.

Hearing Loss Simulator

It can be hard for family and friends of an individual with hearing loss to understand exactly what it is like to have hearing loss. This simulator allows for individuals without hearing loss to experience what it is like to have hearing loss.
